Overview
Registered in 2005 by P. & J. Ruh, 'Lemon Delight' is a miniature hosta sport of *Hosta* 'Lemon Lime'. It forms a compact mound of ovate, medium green leaves with irregular, greenish yellow margins that are slightly rippled and wavy, creating a neat variegated clump.
In the Garden
This miniature hosta reaches approximately 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) in height and 11 inches (27.9 cm) in diameter, with a moderate growth rate and mound-like habit. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical for hostas, and is well-suited for rock gardens, troughs, or the front of shaded borders. Its small size also makes it an excellent candidate for container cultivation.
Care Notes
Water regularly to maintain consistent moisture, especially during dry periods. Apply a balanced slow-release fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. As with most hostas, monitor for slug and deer damage, though the small, dense foliage may be less appealing to some pests.
