Overview
Registered in 2007, this miniature hosta originated from a cross between seedling 95-318 and *Hosta* 'Fall Bouquet'. 'Pitter Patter' forms a compact mound of lance-shaped, blue-green leaves edged with narrow, pale yellow margins; the leaf surface is dull above with a glaucous bloom beneath.
In the Garden
With a mature spread of 11 inches (27.9 cm) and height of 3 inches (7.6 cm), 'Pitter Patter' is suited to the front of a shaded border, rock gardens, or trough plantings. Its small size makes it an excellent candidate for containers. Pair with other miniature hostas or fine-textured shade perennials such as *Heuchera* or *Tiarella*. It performs best in partial to full shade with consistent moisture.
Care Notes
Water regularly during dry periods; apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, 'Pitter Patter' is susceptible to slug and deer damage in typical hosta-growing zones.
