The foliage is slightly glossy above and dull beneath, with cordate leaf bases and 11 pairs of veins, creating a bold contrast that persists through the growing season.

This hosta reaches a mature spread of approximately 28 inches (71 cm) and a height of 17 inches (43 cm), forming a dense, rounded clump. It performs best in partial to full shade, where the variegation remains crisp and the leaf color deepens. 'Lakeside Premier' pairs well with ferns, astilbes, and other shade-tolerant perennials, and its substantial size makes it suitable for mid-border or as a specimen in woodland gardens.
