Overview

Registered in 2005 by R. Whitmore and registered by G. R. Goodwin, this medium-sized cultivar originated as a sport of a seedling of a splashed form of *Hosta* 'Warwick Choice'. It is visually distinctive for its creamy to pure white leaf centers with broad, flat green margins, and for its tendency to develop a third color in the leaf blade.

In the Garden

'Hosta 'Indy Finish Line' reaches approximately 18 inches (45.7 cm) in height and 36 inches (91.4 cm) in diameter, with an upright growth habit and medium to fast growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical of hosta-growing zones, and its non-melting white centers hold well in shaded conditions. Its upright form makes it suitable for mid-border positions or as a specimen in woodland gardens; it pairs well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade-tolerant perennials.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced slow-release fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Standard slug and deer precautions are recommended for this cultivar.
