Hosta ‘Warwick Choice’ is a registered cultivar () .

Year registered1993
Section classII-4b

Overview

Registered in 1993, 'Warwick Choice' is a selfed seedling of *Hosta* 'William Lachman' that produces a large, mounded clump. Its most distinctive feature is the combination of medium green leaf centers with exceptionally wide, pure white margins, each margin measuring approximately one inch across.

In the Garden

With a mature diameter of 48 inches and height of 22 inches, 'Warwick Choice' functions as a substantial specimen or background plant in shaded borders. Its large, cordate leaves with smooth, slightly glossy surfaces and prominent white margins provide strong contrast, making it effective when paired with fine-textured shade perennials such as ferns or *Heuchera*. The green scapes, reaching up to 38 inches, bear typical hosta flowers in midsummer. This cultivar performs best in partial to full shade and is suitable for typical hosta-growing zones.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture during the growing season, particularly in warmer climates, and apply a balanced slow-release fertilizer in early spring. As with most large-leaved hostas, slug and deer damage may occur and should be managed through standard control methods.
