Overview

Registered in 1978 by P. Aden, 'Celebration' is a small hosta distinguished by its narrow, green leaves with cream-white margins. It is a semi-stoloniferous cultivar of unknown parentage, reaching 9 inches (22.9 cm) in height and 12 inches (30.5 cm) in diameter.

In the Garden

'Celebration' performs best in partial to full shade, where its variegated foliage remains most stable. At maturity, it forms a compact clump suitable for the front of borders, rock gardens, or woodland settings. Its small size makes it an excellent candidate for container cultivation, and it pairs well with other diminutive perennials such as *Heuchera* or ferns.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture during the growing season, particularly in hot weather, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, 'Celebration' is susceptible to slug and deer damage, so protective measures may be necessary in areas where these pests are prevalent.
