Registered in 2012, *Hosta* 'Bossy Pants' is a small-sized cultivar of unknown parentage. It is visually distinctive for its ovate, very shiny green leaves with gold margins that exhibit a streaked yellow and green pattern and slightly rippled edges.

'Bossy Pants' forms a compact, mound-like clump reaching 9 inches (22.9 cm) in height and 12 inches (30.5 cm) in diameter, with a moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical for hostas, and its small stature makes it well-suited for rock gardens, troughs, or the front of shaded borders. Companion plants include small ferns, heucheras, or miniature sedges.
