Registered in 1999, *Hosta* 'Sue' is a small-sized cultivar of unknown parentage. It is visually distinguished by its green leaves with pure white margins, a color pattern that remains stable under typical cultivation.

In the Garden

'Sue' forms a compact, mound-like clump reaching 12 inches (30.5 cm) in height and 18 inches (45.7 cm) in diameter, with a slow growth rate. It is best suited to partial to full shade, where its white-margined leaves contrast well with darker foliage of ferns or *Heuchera*. Its small size makes it appropriate for rock gardens, troughs, or the front of shaded borders.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, particularly during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. As with many hostas, slug and deer damage may occur; monitor regularly and take protective measures if needed.
