Overview

Registered in 1999 by M. Laviana, this small hosta is a sport of *Hosta* 'Ogon Koba'. It is visually distinct for its upright, fast-growing habit and narrow, greenish-yellow leaves with medium green margins, reaching 6 inches (15.2 cm) in height and 13 inches (33.0 cm) in diameter.

In the Garden

'On the Marc' performs best in partial to full shade, typical for hostas. Its compact size makes it suitable for the front of borders, rock gardens, or container plantings. It pairs well with other small perennials such as heucheras or ferns, and its upright form provides textural contrast with mounded or spreading groundcovers.

Care Notes

Water regularly to maintain even moisture, especially during dry periods. Fertilize in early spring as new growth emerges. As with most hostas, slug and deer damage may occur; monitor and manage as needed.
