Registered in 2005, this giant hosta arose as a seedling from *Hosta* 'Dorothy Benedict' with an unknown pollen parent. It is distinguished by its large, broadly ovate leaves with blue-green centers and wide, heavily rippled greenish-yellow margins, combined with a notably upright, arching habit.

With a mature height of 30 inches (76.2 cm) and spread of 28 inches (71.1 cm), 'On Golden Pond' functions as a substantial specimen plant. It performs best in partial to dappled shade, where its glaucous leaf undersides and white flowers contrast effectively with darker foliage plants such as ferns or *Heuchera*. Its moderate growth rate and upright form suit it for mid-border placement or as a focal point in woodland gardens.
