A sport of *Hosta* 'Sweet Sunshine' registered in 2009, 'My Gal Sal' is a small cultivar distinguished by bright golden yellow leaves with creamy white streaked margins and slightly rippled edges. The mound-like plant reaches 13 inches (33.0 cm) in height and 23 inches (58.4 cm) in diameter, with broadly ovate, cordate-based leaves that are slightly shiny above and dull beneath.

In the Garden

'My Gal Sal' performs best in partial shade to dappled sunlight, where its golden foliage maintains color without scorching. At 23 inches across, it functions as a compact specimen for the front of borders, rock gardens, or container plantings. Its small size and moderate growth rate make it suitable for edging pathways or pairing with other small perennials such as *Heuchera* or *Tiarella*.
