Registered in 1996, *Hosta* 'Misty Gold' is a medium-sized variegated cultivar derived from a hybrid of *H. 'Gala'*. Its most distinctive features are the heavy, rippled leaf margins and the green speckling that overlays the leaf surface, creating a mottled appearance.

'Misty Gold' reaches a mature diameter of 36 inches (91.4 cm) and a height of 14 inches (35.6 cm), with an upright, moderate growth habit. It performs best in partial to full shade, as is typical for most hostas, and pairs well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade-tolerant perennials. Its medium size makes it suitable for border fronts or as a specimen in shaded beds.

Care Notes
