Registered in 1999 as a sport of *Hosta* 'Aspen Gold', 'Millie's Memoirs' is a medium-sized cultivar distinguished by its medium green leaves with broad, golden yellow margins. The leaf margins measure approximately 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) wide, creating a strong contrast against the darker green center. The plant forms a dense, slow-growing mound.

'Millie's Memoirs' reaches a mature height of 12 inches (30.5 cm) and spreads to 24 inches (61.0 cm) in diameter, making it suitable for the middle of a shaded border or as a specimen in a woodland garden. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical of most hostas, and its moderate size allows for pairing with smaller ferns, heucheras, or shade-tolerant groundcovers. The broad, rounded leaves and flat leaf base give the plant a compact, tidy appearance.
