Registered in 1983 by V. Sellers, *Hosta* 'Limon' is a small-sized cultivar of unknown parentage. It is visually distinctive for its green leaves with lime to yellow-green margins, creating a bicolored effect on a compact plant.

In the Garden

'Hosta' 'Limon' forms a dense clump reaching approximately 20 inches (50.8 cm) in diameter and 24 inches (61.0 cm) in height, with leaves 5 inches (12.7 cm) long and wide. Its small stature makes it well-suited for the front of shaded borders, rock gardens, or container cultivation. It pairs effectively with other small hostas, ferns, or woodland groundcovers in partial to full shade.

Care Notes

This cultivar performs best in moist, well-drained soil with regular watering during dry periods, and benefits from a balanced fertilizer applied in early spring. As with most hostas, it may require protection from slugs and deer in typical hosta-growing zones.
