Registered in 1988 by R. Savory, this small hosta cultivar is a selfed hybrid of *Hosta* 'Aspen Gold'. It is visually distinctive for its green leaves with white margins, a color pattern that contrasts with the typical gold foliage of its parent.
In the Garden
'Hosta 'Limelight' reaches a mature size of approximately 11 inches (27.9 cm) in height and 12 inches (30.5 cm) in diameter, making it suitable for the front of borders, rock gardens, or container plantings. It performs best in partial to full shade, where its variegated leaves remain most distinct. Companion plants include small ferns, heucheras, or other miniature hostas.
Care Notes
