Registered in 1995, *Hosta* 'Lakeside Sparkle Plenty' is a small-sized cultivar of unknown parentage. It is visually distinctive for its yellow-gold leaves with narrow, medium green, slightly rippled margins and a very shiny upper surface.

In the Garden

This hosta forms a semi-upright clump reaching 19 inches (48.3 cm) in height and 25 inches (63.5 cm) in diameter, with a fast growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, as typical for gold-margined cultivars, and pairs well with ferns, heucheras, or other small shade perennials. Its compact size makes it suitable for container culture or the front of a shaded border.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during establishment, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Standard slug and deer precautions are recommended, as both pests may damage the foliage.
