Registered in 2014 as a sport of *Hosta* 'Gold Edger', 'Kayleigh's Sunshine' is a small hosta cultivar distinguished by its green leaves with bright golden yellow margins. The foliage is ovate with rounded bases, measuring 4 inches (10.2 cm) long and 2.25 inches (5.7 cm) wide, with a slightly shiny upper surface and dull underside.

This compact cultivar forms a mound 6 inches (15.2 cm) high and 10 inches (25.4 cm) in diameter, with a fast growth rate. It tolerates more sun than many hostas due to its bright golden margins, though it performs best in typical hosta-growing conditions with some afternoon shade. Its small size makes it suitable for container culture, rock gardens, or as a front-of-border accent, pairing well with small ferns or shade-tolerant groundcovers.
