Registered in 2016 as a sport of a seedling of unknown origin, *Hosta* 'Hoosier Classic' is a medium-sized cultivar distinguished by its yellow leaves with wide creamy white margins, combined with moderate cupping, corrugation, and light twisting. The combination of color pattern and textured foliage sets this cultivar apart from others of comparable size.

'Hoosier Classic' forms a mound-like clump reaching 32 inches (81.3 cm) in diameter and 10 inches (25.4 cm) in height, with a moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical for hostas, and its compact habit suits it for border fronts, woodland gardens, or container plantings. Companion plants such as ferns, heucheras, or small shade-tolerant perennials complement its muted green-and-cream foliage.
