Overview

Registered in 1999 by B. Banyai, this medium-sized cultivar arose as a hybrid of *Hosta* 'Kabitan'. It is visually distinctive for its green leaves with golden yellow margins that gradually transition to green as the season progresses, combined with a slightly shiny surface on both leaf sides.

In the Garden

Mature plants reach approximately 24 inches (61 cm) in height and 30 inches (76 cm) in diameter, with an upright growth habit and moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to dappled shade, typical of most hostas, and pairs well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade-tolerant perennials. Its medium size makes it suitable for border fronts or woodland garden settings.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Slugs and deer may damage foliage, so monitoring and protective measures are advisable in areas where these pests are prevalent.
