Hosta ‘Glen Triumph’ is a registered cultivar () .

Year registered2008
Section classII-2

Overview

Registered in 2008, 'Glen Triumph' is a large blue-green hosta of unknown parentage, distinguished by its deeply cupped, broadly ovate leaves with flat margins and a pronounced glaucous bloom on the undersides. The leaves are held upright, revealing white undersides that contrast with the dull blue-green upper surface.

In the Garden

'Glen Triumph' forms a substantial clump reaching 32 inches (81.3 cm) in height and 48 inches (121.9 cm) in diameter, with a medium to fast growth rate. It is noted for sun tolerance and performs well in partial to full shade typical of hosta-growing zones. Its large, pointed, cupped leaves pair effectively with ferns, astilbes, and other shade perennials; the plant is too large for container cultivation.

Care Notes

Water regularly to maintain consistent soil moisture, particularly during dry periods. Apply a balanced slow-release fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. The thick, glaucous leaves show moderate resistance to slugs, though deer may browse young foliage.
