Registered in 1999, *Hosta* 'Cry Baby' is a small-sized cultivar distinguished by its green leaves with narrow, dark green, slightly rippled margins. The leaf blade is greenish yellow with a 0.25 in (0.6 cm) wide, dark green border, and the foliage exhibits a slight shine on both surfaces.

In the Garden

This compact hosta reaches a mature size of 12 in (30.5 cm) in height and 15 in (38.1 cm) in diameter, making it suitable for the front of borders, rock gardens, or as a groundcover in shaded areas. Its moderate growth rate and rhizomatous habit allow it to form small clumps that pair well with other small perennials such as ferns, *Heuchera*, or *Tiarella*. The small leaf size and overall dimensions also make it an appropriate candidate for container cultivation.

Care Notes
