In the Garden

This compact hosta forms a dense, mound-like clump reaching 10 inches (25.4 cm) in height and 36 inches (91.4 cm) in diameter at maturity, with a moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, where the gold margins hold their color without scorching. Suitable companions include ferns, *Heuchera*, and other small hostas; its size makes it appropriate for the front of borders, rock gardens, or container plantings.
