Mango Tango

Hosta "Mango Tango" review

Could be considered the reverse of Hosta 'Stitch in Time'. A wide green margin surrounds a narrow yellow center that has an irregular shape. Topped with lavender flowers and is a vigorous grower, rounded leaves have good substance. This way cool sport of the already very nice 'Dance With Me' was discovered by Eric Kinman, the new proprietor of Stark's Nursery in Iowa. It appears to be one of those polyploid thingies with a tightly narrow center and wide ruffly edges, and it is one of the cooler plants to make the scene in recent years. It was a big hit when it came out a few years ago, and supply couldn't keep up with the demand.
