Registered in 1986 by Wayside Gardens, 'June Beauty' is a large hosta cultivar of unknown parentage. It is visually distinctive for its gray-green leaves with slight undulating margins and cordate (heart-shaped) bases, combined with variegated foliage.

In the Garden

'June Beauty' reaches a mature spread of approximately 41 inches (104 cm) and a height of 24 inches (61 cm), making it suitable as a specimen or mid-border plant in partial to full shade. Its substantial leaves pair well with ferns, astilbes, and other shade-tolerant perennials. The plant's size and leaf texture make it effective for massing or as a ground cover in shaded areas.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, 'June Beauty' is susceptible to slug and deer damage; regular monitoring and protective measures may be necessary in areas where these pests are prevalent.
