Overview

Registered in 2007, *Hosta* 'Green Nature Lady' is a large, fast-growing cultivar resulting from a cross between *H.* 'Harvest Dandy' (pod parent) and *H.* 'Potomac Pride' (pollen parent). This variety is visually distinctive for its heavily corrugated, dark green foliage with flat margins and a slightly shiny surface on both sides, combined with profuse, near-white flowers.

In the Garden

'Green Nature Lady' forms a dense, mound-like clump reaching 32 inches (81.3 cm) in diameter and 13 inches (33.0 cm) in height. It performs best in partial to full shade, as typical for hostas, and its large, deeply textured leaves provide strong visual contrast when planted alongside finer-textured shade perennials such as ferns or *Heuchera*. Given its substantial mature size, it is best suited to garden beds rather than containers.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture during the growing season, applying a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. As with most hostas, monitor for slug and deer damage, particularly on the broad, corrugated leaves.
