Registered in 2009, 'Captain's Adventure' is a sport of an unnamed parent, producing a medium-sized clump of blue-green leaves with wide, creamy white margins. The cultivar is notable for the distinct, painted-on appearance of the greenish-yellow streak that separates the leaf center from the margin, a feature described as appliquéd.

In the Garden

This hosta forms an upright mound reaching 15 inches (38 cm) in height and 24 inches (62 cm) in diameter, with a moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical for blue-leaved cultivars, and is suitable for mid-border positions or as a specimen in shaded beds. Its medium size allows pairing with ferns, heucheras, or smaller perennials, though it is not suited for container culture as a mini or small hosta.

Care Notes
