Overview
Registered in 1987 by Kuk's Forest Nursery, this small hosta cultivar is a hybrid of *Hosta sieboldiana*. Its distinctive variegated foliage features medium green leaves with waxy margins, glossy on both surfaces, and seven vein pairs.
In the Garden
With a mature spread of 12 inches (30.5 cm) and height of 7 inches (17.8 cm), 'Razzle Dazzle' forms a compact mound suitable for the front of borders or rock gardens. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical for hostas, and pairs well with other small perennials such as heucheras or ferns. Its small size makes it an excellent candidate for container cultivation.
Care Notes
Water regularly to maintain consistent soil moisture, especially during dry periods. Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, it may require protection from slugs and deer in garden settings.
