Overview

Registered in 2005 as a sport of an unnamed parent, *Hosta* 'Pineapple Punch' is a medium-sized cultivar distinguished by its intensely wavy, lance-shaped leaves with dark green centers and creamy yellow margins that fade to creamy white. The foliage measures 10 inches (25.4 cm) long by 3 inches (7.6 cm) wide, with four to five vein pairs, a dull upper surface, and a slightly shiny underside.

In the Garden

This fast-growing, mound-forming hosta reaches 13 inches (33.0 cm) in height and 24 inches (61.0 cm) in diameter, making it suitable for mid-border positions in partial to full shade. Its dark green scapes rise 30 to 38 inches (76.2 to 96.5 cm) above the foliage. The contrasting margins pair well with fine-textured ferns or broad-leaved companions such as *Heuchera*.

Care Notes

Water regularly during dry periods and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Typical hosta-growing zones apply; slug and deer damage may occur, though the heavily rippled margins may offer slight resistance.
