Overview

Registered in 1997 by P. Ruh, this large hybrid of *Hosta* 'Golden Anniversary' is distinguished by its green leaf centers with pale yellow, slightly rippled margins. The leaves are cordate at the base, measure 10.5 inches (26.7 cm) long by 8.75 inches (22.2 cm) wide, and bear 13 vein pairs; both surfaces are dull in texture.

In the Garden

Mature plants reach approximately 31 inches (78.7 cm) in diameter and 20 inches (50.8 cm) in height, with an upright habit and moderate growth rate. This cultivar performs best in partial to dappled shade, typical of hosta-growing zones, where its gold margins remain stable without scorching. Its substantial size makes it suitable for mid-border positions or as a specimen in shaded beds, pairing well with ferns and shade-tolerant perennials.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture during the growing season; apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new shoots emerge. As with most hostas, protection from deer and slug damage may be necessary, particularly on new foliage.
