Overview

Registered in 2011, *Hosta* 'Love You' is a sport of *H.* 'Lakeside Sassy Sally' notable for its large, green leaves with gold margins. The cultivar is distinguished by its unique color combination of light green centers and golden yellow, slightly rippled margins, combined with a fast growth rate.

In the Garden

'Love You' forms a mound-like clump reaching 30 inches (76.2 cm) in diameter and 10 inches (25.4 cm) in height. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical for hostas, and its large size makes it suitable as a specimen or in mixed shade borders. The fast growth rate allows it to fill space quickly, and it pairs well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade perennials.

Care Notes

Water regularly to maintain consistent soil moisture, especially during dry periods. Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. While not particularly susceptible to deer, standard slug control measures may be necessary in damp conditions.
