Overview

Registered in 2006, 'Lakeside Foiled Plot' is a large, fast-growing hosta of seedling parentage. It is visually distinctive for its nearly round, deeply cupped leaves with green, flat margins and a slightly shiny surface on both sides.

In the Garden

This cultivar forms an upright clump reaching 24 inches (61.0 cm) in height and 38 inches (96.5 cm) in diameter. It is suitable for partial to full shade in typical hosta-growing zones, where its large, deeply cupped leaves provide textural contrast. Its substantial size makes it appropriate as a specimen or in the middle to back of a shaded border; companion plants might include ferns or shade-tolerant perennials with contrasting leaf shapes.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Standard slug and deer precautions are advised, as both pests may damage the foliage.
