Overview
Registered in 2012 as a sport of *Hosta* 'Carin's Wedding', 'White Wedding' is a miniature cultivar distinguished by its narrow, lance-shaped leaves with medium to dark green centers and sharply contrasting white margins. The foliage forms a compact, semi-upright mound that reaches approximately 7 inches (17.8 cm) in height and 14 inches (35.6 cm) in diameter, with a fast growth rate.
In the Garden
'White Wedding' is well suited for the front of shaded borders, rock gardens, or container plantings where its small scale and crisp variegation can be appreciated at close range. It performs best in partial to full shade and reaches a mature spread of about 14 inches (35.6 cm). Companion plants with contrasting textures, such as ferns or small-leaved groundcovers, complement its narrow foliage. Its miniature size makes it an excellent candidate for troughs or mixed containers.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture during the growing season, particularly in containers, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, 'White Wedding' is susceptible to slug and deer damage in typical hosta-growing zones.
