Overview
Registered in 1991 by E. Fisher and P. Ruh, this large hybrid of *Hosta sieboldiana* produces variegated leaves with green centers and several undulating margins. The foliage is slightly glossy on the upper surface, with cordate leaf bases and 14 pairs of veins.
In the Garden
Mature plants reach 23 inches (58.4 cm) in height and 36 inches (91.4 cm) in diameter, with scapes extending to 26 inches (66.0 cm). This cultivar performs best in partial to full shade, typical of hosta-growing zones, and pairs well with ferns, astilbes, and other shade-tolerant perennials. Its substantial size makes it suitable as a specimen plant or for mid-border placement in woodland gardens.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture during the growing season, particularly in dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Slugs and deer may damage foliage; monitor regularly and apply controls as needed.
