Overview
Registered in 2003, *Hosta* 'Table Six' is a sport of a seedling derived from *H. 'Frances Williams'* crossed with an unknown parent. This small, mound-forming cultivar is visually distinguished by its nearly round, blue-green leaves with broad white margins that are slightly rippled, and its relatively tall scapes bearing pale flowers.
In the Garden
'Table Six' reaches a mature size of approximately 13 inches (33 cm) in height and 25 inches (63.5 cm) in diameter, with a moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, where its blue-green foliage and white margins remain most vivid. Suitable companions include ferns, *Heuchera*, and other small hostas; its compact size also makes it appropriate for container cultivation.
Care Notes
Water regularly to maintain consistent soil moisture, particularly during dry periods. Fertilize in early spring with a balanced, slow-release formulation. Like most hostas, it is susceptible to slug and deer damage; protective measures may be necessary in areas where these pests are prevalent.
