Hosta ‘Strawberry Parfait’ is a registered cultivar () .

Year registered2004
Section classIV-3

Overview

Registered in 2004, this small hosta cultivar is a complex hybrid derived from an F-1 seedling of *Hosta* 'Swoosh' and *Hosta* 'June', crossed with *Hosta* 'June' as the pollen parent. It is visually distinctive for its blue-green leaves with yellow, slightly rippled margins and its upright, flaring habit, complemented by scapes heavily speckled pink-rose along their entire length.

In the Garden

*Hosta* 'Strawberry Parfait' forms an upright mound reaching 15 inches (38.1 cm) in height and 30 inches (76.2 cm) in diameter. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical for hostas, and its small size makes it well suited for rock gardens, woodland edges, or the front of borders. Companion plants include ferns, heucheras, and other small shade perennials; it is also an excellent candidate for container cultivation.

Care Notes

Water regularly to maintain consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. While typical hosta pests such as slugs and deer may cause damage, the glaucous leaf surfaces offer some resistance; monitor and manage as needed.
