Overview

Registered in 1991 by H. & D. Benedict, this medium-sized cultivar arose from a cross between *Hosta* 'Dorothy Benedict' and *Hosta* 'Tokudama Aureonebulosa'. It is distinguished by its blue-green leaves with cream-white margins and a prominent glaucous bloom on the upper surface.

In the Garden

Mature plants reach approximately 26 inches (66.0 cm) in diameter and 10 inches (25.4 cm) in height, with leaves measuring 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) long and 6 inches (15.2 cm) wide. The scape rises to 14 inches (35.6 cm). This cultivar performs best in partial to full shade, typical of most hostas, and pairs well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade-tolerant perennials. Its medium size makes it suitable for border fronts or woodland garden settings.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like many hostas, it may be susceptible to slug and deer damage; monitoring and protective measures are recommended in areas where these pests are prevalent.
