Overview
Registered in 1991 by Kuk's Forest Nursery, this medium-sized cultivar resulted from a cross between *Hosta* 'Crispula' (pod parent) and *H. sieboldiana* (pollen parent). It is visually distinguished by its green leaves with gold margins, chartreuse leaf bases, and undulating leaf margins.
In the Garden
Mature plants reach 16 inches (40.6 cm) in both height and diameter, with leaves 8 inches (20.3 cm) long and 5.5 inches (14.0 cm) wide, bearing ten pairs of veins and cordate bases. The scape rises to 28 inches (71.1 cm). This cultivar performs best in partial to full shade, typical of most hostas, and pairs well with ferns, astilbes, or other shade-tolerant perennials. Its medium size suits border fronts or woodland garden settings.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, it is susceptible to slug and deer damage; monitor and manage as needed.
