Overview
Registered in 2005, 'Miss Grace' is a medium-sized hosta of unknown parentage, distinguished by its broadly ovate leaves with medium green, slightly rippled margins and a very shiny underside. The foliage measures 8 inches (20.3 cm) long by 4 inches (10.2 cm) wide, with 6 to 7 vein pairs, and exhibits a slightly shiny upper surface.
In the Garden
This cultivar forms an upright clump reaching 12 inches (30.5 cm) in height and 24 inches (61.0 cm) in diameter, with a fast growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical for variegated hostas, and pairs well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade-tolerant perennials. Its medium size makes it suitable for border fronts or woodland garden settings.
Care Notes
Water regularly to maintain consistent soil moisture, especially during dry periods. Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. While hostas are generally susceptible to slug and deer damage, 'Miss Grace' shows no exceptional resistance and may require protection in areas with heavy pest pressure.
