Overview
Registered in 2014 by B. & D. Stegeman, this small hosta cultivar resulted from a cross between *Hosta* 'Little Wonder' and *Hosta* 'Elvis Lives'. It is visually distinctive for its lance-shaped green leaves with golden yellow flat margins and a slightly shiny upper surface, forming a compact mound.
In the Garden
Mature plants reach approximately 7 inches (17.8 cm) in height and 15 inches (38.1 cm) in diameter, with a moderate growth rate. The small size and pale purple scapes rising 8 to 10 inches (20.3 to 25.4 cm) make it suitable for the front of borders, rock gardens, or container culture. It pairs well with other small hostas or fine-textured shade perennials such as heucheras or ferns in typical hosta-growing zones.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, it is susceptible to slug and deer damage, so appropriate management may be necessary.
