Overview

Registered in 2007, this miniature hybrid from *Hosta* 'Peter Pan' (seed parent) and *Hosta* 'Sun Power' (pollen parent) is distinguished by its small, deeply cupped, nearly round leaves of blue-green with a glaucous bloom beneath. The upright, slow-growing plant forms a compact mound reaching 4 inches (10.2 cm) in height and 8 inches (20.3 cm) in diameter, with scapes rising 8 to 10 inches (20.3 to 25.4 cm) on green stems with purple bases.

In the Garden

This miniature hosta is well suited to rock gardens, troughs, or the front of a shaded border, where its cupped foliage and modest dimensions provide textural contrast. It performs best in partial to full shade and reaches a mature spread of roughly 8 inches (20.3 cm), making it an excellent candidate for container cultivation or small-scale plantings. Companion plants might include other miniature hostas, small ferns, or shade-tolerant groundcovers such as *Sedum* or *Tiarella*.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, particularly during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as growth emerges. As with most hostas, protection from slugs and deer may be necessary in garden settings.
