Overview
Registered in 1991 by Kuk's Forest Nursery, this miniature hosta is a hybrid of *H. 'Neat Splash'. 'Little Bo Peep' is distinguished by its small, glossy green leaves with narrow creamy white margins, forming a compact mound 8.5 inches (21.6 cm) in diameter and 4.5 inches (11.4 cm) in height. The leaves are 3.75 inches (9.5 cm) long and 1.25 inches (3.2 cm) wide, with two vein pairs and a 0.25-inch (0.6 cm) wide, creamy white margin.
In the Garden
'Little Bo Peep' is well-suited for shaded or partially shaded locations in typical hosta-growing zones. Its miniature size makes it ideal for rock gardens, troughs, or the front of a border, where its glossy foliage and white margins provide subtle contrast. It pairs effectively with other small perennials such as *Heuchera* or *Tiarella*, and performs well in containers.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Slugs may damage the foliage, and deer may browse the plants; monitor accordingly.
