Overview
Registered in 1999, this small hosta cultivar results from a cross between *H. sieboldiana* and *H.* 'Tokudama'. It is visually distinctive for its blue-green leaves edged with greenish yellow margins, a combination that creates strong contrast against the glaucous bloom on the leaf undersides.
In the Garden
Mature plants form a mound 15.75 inches (40.0 cm) tall and 27.5 inches (69.9 cm) in diameter, with a fast growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical of hosta-growing zones, and is well suited to the front of borders, rock gardens, or container plantings due to its compact size. Companion plants include ferns, heucheras, or other small hostas that complement its blue-green foliage.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Slugs and deer may damage foliage, so monitor regularly and use appropriate controls if needed.
