Overview
Registered in 1997 by Paul Ruh, 'Harvest Delight' is a small hosta derived from a hybrid of *Hosta kikutii*. It produces variegated leaves with dark green, slightly rippled margins, a slightly shiny upper surface, and a very shiny underside.
In the Garden
This slow-growing, mound-forming cultivar reaches approximately 12.5 inches (31.8 cm) in height and spreads to 21 inches (53.3 cm) in diameter. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical of most hostas, and is well-suited for rock gardens, container plantings, or the front of shaded borders. Its compact size pairs effectively with small ferns, heucheras, or other diminutive woodland perennials.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture during the growing season, particularly in dry periods, and apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like many hostas, it may be susceptible to slug and deer damage in garden settings.
