Registered in 1989 by S. Bond, 'Goldbrook' is a large hosta cultivar of unknown parentage, distinguished by its medium green leaves with gold margins. The leaves are cordate at the base, measuring 10 inches (25.4 cm) long and 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) wide, with seven vein pairs.
In the Garden
This cultivar reaches a mature spread of 40 inches (101.6 cm) and a height of 22 inches (55.9 cm), making it suitable for mid-border or specimen placement in partial to full shade. Its gold-margined foliage pairs well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade-tolerant perennials. The scape rises to 28 inches (71.1 cm) in height, though flower characteristics are not recorded.
