Overview
Registered in 1985 by R. Savory, this small hosta cultivar is a hybrid of *Hosta* 'August Moon'. It is visually distinguished by its green leaves with chartreuse yellow margins and cordate leaf bases.
In the Garden
'Hosta' 'Glory' reaches a mature size of 11 inches (27.9 cm) in height and 24 inches (61.0 cm) in diameter, with leaves measuring 5 inches (12.7 cm) long and wide. It performs best in partial to full shade, as typical for hostas, and its small size makes it suitable for the front of borders, rock gardens, or container plantings. Companion plants that thrive in similar conditions include ferns, heucheras, and small woodland perennials.
Care Notes
Water regularly to maintain even soil moisture, especially during dry periods. Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like many hostas, it may be susceptible to slug and deer damage in the garden.
