Overview
Registered in 2009 by K. Walek, this miniature cultivar originated as a sport of *Hosta* 'Ani Machi'. 'Geisha Limey Streaks' is visually distinctive for its golden yellow leaves overlaid with irregular green streaks and mottling, creating a lime-toned variegation pattern with slightly rippled, cupped foliage.
In the Garden
At maturity, this slow-growing plant forms a compact clump 6 inches (15.2 cm) tall and 12 inches (30.5 cm) in diameter. The semi-upright habit and small leaf size make it well suited for rock gardens, troughs, or the front of shaded borders. It pairs effectively with other miniature hostas or fine-textured shade perennials such as *Heuchera* or *Tiarella*.
Care Notes
Grow in moist, well-drained soil in partial to full shade, typical for hosta-growing zones. Water during dry periods and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring; foliage is susceptible to slug damage and deer browsing.
