Overview
Registered in 1988 by W. & E. Lachman, this small hosta cultivar produces narrow, lance-shaped leaves with gray-green centers and pure white margins. The foliage displays five to six vein pairs, with each leaf reaching 7.5 inches (19.1 cm) in length and 2.75 inches (7.0 cm) in width. The plant is a hybrid of (*H. 'Resonance'* × *H. 'Lachman P14'*) pollinated by *H. 'Halcyon'*.
In the Garden
Mature plants form a compact clump 12 inches (30.5 cm) tall and 22 inches (55.9 cm) in diameter, making it suitable for the front of borders or rock gardens. It performs best in partial to full shade, where the white margins remain most distinct. The small size and tidy habit make it an excellent choice for container cultivation or as an edging plant alongside other small hostas, ferns, or shade-tolerant perennials.
Care Notes
Water regularly during dry periods, particularly in the first growing season. Apply a balanced slow-release fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, it is susceptible to slug and deer damage; monitor and manage as needed.
