Registered in 1991 by W. & E. Lachman, this medium-sized sport of *Hosta* 'Galaxy' displays green leaves with gold margins. The leaf blade measures 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) long by 5.5 inches (14.0 cm) wide, with 16 vein pairs, and the margin is described as medium yellow dark green.
In the Garden
'Hosta Galaxy Light' reaches a mature height of 10 inches (25.4 cm) and a spread of 14 inches (35.6 cm), making it suitable for the middle of a shaded border or as a groundcover in partial to full shade. Its medium size and compact habit pair well with ferns, heucheras, and other small to medium hostas. The scape rises 20 inches (50.8 cm) above the foliage, bearing lavender flowers in midsummer.
