Overview
Registered in 2013 as a sport of *Hosta* 'Palm Sunday', 'Foxfire Resurrection' is a small, mound-forming cultivar distinguished by its broad, light green margins and a unique, irregular center pattern on medium blue-green leaves. The leaf blade measures 7 inches (17.8 cm) in length and 4 inches (10.2 cm) in width, with 11 pairs of veins, while the margin extends 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) wide.
In the Garden
'Foxfire Resurrection' reaches a mature diameter of 30 inches (76.2 cm) and a height of 18 inches (45.7 cm), forming a compact, moderate-growing mound. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical of hosta-growing zones, and its small stature makes it suitable for rock gardens, container plantings, or the front of shaded borders. Companions include ferns, heucheras, and other small woodland perennials that complement its blue-green foliage.
Care Notes
Water regularly to maintain consistent soil moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Slugs and deer may damage foliage; monitor and manage as needed in the garden.
