Hosta ‘Fluted Fountain’ is a registered cultivar () .

Overview
Registered in 1999, this large hosta cultivar arose from a cross between a *Hosta* 'Sun Power' seedling (pod parent) and *Hosta* 'Donahue Piecrust' (pollen parent). It is visually distinctive for its upright, fountain-like habit, medium green leaves with a subtle piecrust edge, and tall scapes bearing mottled rose-purple flowers.
In the Garden
*Hosta* 'Fluted Fountain' reaches 27 inches (68.6 cm) in height and spreads to 46 inches (116.8 cm) in diameter, making it suitable as a specimen or for the middle to back of a shaded border. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical of hosta-growing zones, and its upright form pairs well with ferns, astilbes, and other shade perennials that contrast its broad, cordate leaves. The tall scapes, reaching 49 to 51 inches (124.5 to 129.5 cm), add vertical interest.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as growth emerges. Slugs may damage the leaves, and deer are known to browse hostas, so protective measures may be necessary in areas where these pests are prevalent.
